ADL/Independence Training (Dressing, Feeding, Self‑Care)

Empowering your child to master daily routines like dressing and feeding through playful, child-led training that builds the confidence and skills needed for lasting independence.

At Radiance Pediatric Therapy, we believe every child deserves to feel the pride of saying, "I did it myself!" Through our Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training, we help children grow and participate more fully in everyday life by mastering the essential "jobs" of childhood.

Building the Foundation for Independence

Daily routines can sometimes feel like a struggle for children with sensory needs or developmental delays. Our licensed clinicians provide skilled support for children working on:

  • Dressing: Developing the fine motor strength and coordination needed for buttons, zippers, and laces.
  • Feeding: Helping children master utensils and navigate the sensory aspects of mealtime.
  • Self-Care: Strengthening the skills required for grooming, hygiene, and personal independence.
  • Daily Routines: Providing strategies to help children stay regulated and focused during transitions throughout their day.

A Playful Path to Success

We use a child-led and play-based approach to make learning these vital life skills engaging rather than frustrating. By focusing on your child’s unique strengths, we build their confidence one step at a time. We serve children from 8 months to 18 years old in our warm, welcoming Bentonville clinic and local preschools.

Practical Support for Your Family

We view parents as essential partners in this journey. Our therapists provide simple, realistic strategies and practical home carryover so you can support your child's growth during your normal daily routines. Together, we help your child reach their fullest potential at home, at school, and in the community.
